DERMAL FILLERS

WHAT IS A DERMAL FILLER?

It is now possible to achieve just about any look you want using filler injections!  Facial fillers are substances made from Hyaluronic acid (Restylane, Juvederm, others) and are a natural component of the skin’s connective tissue.  The use of fillers can temporarily soften wrinkles, plump and hydrate lips, replace soft tissue volume loss, raise scar depressions, and minimize creases and folds in the face when injected into your skin. Fillers are recommended to anyone that wants a refreshed, youthful look.  Results are immediate, and the look is soft and natural.  Since our face is a highly vascular structure, when the barrier is broken with a needle, bruising and swelling are possible side effects. How long the effect lasts depends on factors such as the type of wrinkle and filler used but can last anywhere from 6 months – 2 years.
